For Sale

Gabriel

SOLD!

Regretfully I have decided to sell my 3rd level gelding, Gabriel. He is coming 12, 14.2h 1100lbs. I have had him since 2000 and I bought him as a 4 year old. The only thing he has on his legs is an old, set splint in the middle of his inside cannon bone. He babysits young riders (and the not so young). He has shown and placed at USDF recognized shows at 2nd and 3rd level. He loves to work in the ring but isn’t fond of trail riding. He is the lateral-work king, he will leg yeild and half pass to the world ends, but he could use more suppleness over the back. His extended work needs more push from behind. He loves people and children especially. He is a pro in the show ring, you can practically hold the test up for him and he will carry the rider around. "O.K. Gabe, it's Intro A, can you handle it? Good!" or "It's First Level Test 2, Got it Gabe? O.K.? Remember to canter and circle at A. Rider's a little freaked, so just take care of them and don't worry about winning the class, just go around and you will get your cookie." He took my son when he was 10 and 11 and couldn't ride a lick, His hand were up and his heels were up and a strong breeze would have knocked him off the horse, and made Gus Intro Champion for the CDCTA champion for the year in Virginia.

He will stand tied to the trailer all day but if you leave him in the trailer he will fret. He wants to be able to see what's going on around him. He will stand in a stall and be just fine, or you can sit on him outside the arena or, as I did at one show, under the only shade tree for miles, until it is time for his class. He doesn't like flashy things or things rolling on the ground but that is pretty normal for a horse and he doesn't like things he can't see clearly. He doesn't like to rushed, but if let him take his time and figure it out he will be just fine and give you his best. He is priced at $18,000 with some consideration to a good home.

Branstock’s Riddle

A coming 2 year old 13 hand black leopard colt. He should mature to 14.1 or 14.2h. This colt is out of a ApHC sport-horse type mare by my stallion Branstock’s Ryujin. This colt is International quality. His first and only time to go off the farm he went to the Southern Hospility Breeders Show in 2007 and against 5 warmblood colts, all by big name stallions, all older, and taller, Riddle won his class. He was a perfect gentleman and was handled by husband and 14 year old son, both which were first timers at the In Hand shows. This colt is a big expressive, correct mover, with an elegant head and neck and a super temperament. He will make a fantastic herd sire or a top show pony or both. He is priced at $12,000 with some consideration to someone who will keep him a stallion.

Branstock’s Aeolus

I am probably a fool for wanting to sell (Branstock's Aeolus), I have known his mother all her life (18 years) and her dam before that. I really wanted a filly out of her, leased and bred her 5 times and 5 times she has given me colts. They are all good movers, maybe a little flat and hunter-y, but you can always develop the push from behind and the float at the trot, and they all have wonderful, trainable temperments. They all have very good, scope-y jumps over a fence. They all have short strong backs, and high neck sets. Even when we bred her to a Tb stallion the resulting colt was a dream to break out and as long as I said it was O.K. he was game to do anything I asked of him. His first time he went to a show it was a BIG show in an indoor with bleachers and a BIG crowd. He looked a bit, but that was it. I broke out a 1/2 brother to Eli this fall. He was another angel to break. Not a buck, not a fuss, he is a little off balance at the canter but that is coming. He is only 3 coming 4 so the works are kept short and light. His sire was 13.3 hand ApHC stallion that we had for a short time, JJ is now 14.1 and 900 lbs. I believe that he will get close to 15 hands and 1100 lbs when he is finally mature. Eli is a leggy thing with short coupling and a tank. For a 6 month old colt he is a tank. He has good bone with out being course. He has good movement, and is very calm and excepting of things. He can get a little stubborn from time to time, but not panic-y or fightened. He is the only colt that I have ever raised that excepted my hands on his legs and me picking up his feet at once. No fuss, no muss, didn't even flinch. He should make anything you want him to be, hunter, eventer, driving horse, or dressage horse when he is mature. He will look very Iberian but have the straightness, correctness and bone that Brondo throws. A Brondo filly placed 2nd at prestigious Upperville Show in 2007 in the yearling hunter pony class. We are currently asking $3500 for him.

OLF Sequoia

Sequoia is quiet as a stallion can be and if someone wants to geld him, he would be school horse quiet in a couple of months. When I got him last year as a coming 7 y.o. he had only been halter broken and used as a breeding stallion. By July he was going under saddle well enough to go to a schooling dressage show and win his class with a score of 60%. He is easy to handle and easy to be around, I just don't need him and I need to downsize my riding load here at home. He would be the perfect stallion for an amatuer breeder. He is 72% crabbet breeding, which is known for it's temperment, and for crossing breeding to get hunter ponies. He is going both in dressage and in western. He has 3 wonderfully correct gaits with a canter so slow and balanced that it is truly like sitting on a rocking chair on a slow lazy afternoon. I have him bred to 2 of mares and he has other foals on the ground. He is a chestnut rabicano and an uphill build and correct legs. He is offered for sale at $6500.

Branstock Brigadier

Branstock’s Brigadier

This black colt was born April 21, 2007 by Bocksbuehl Brondo out of a 14.1 hand palomino Triple S bred Morgan mare. This colt is very correct, with a uphill build, good stout bone and a sweet, sweet temperament. He is correct in his movement with a good forward trot, a true 3 beat canter and a solid 4 beat walk with a long over track. He has natural push from behind. I bred the mare with the goal to produce a large pony capable to be ridden dressage or driven in the CDE’s. A pony with all the athletic ability to be competitive at the International levels but with a temperament to handled and trained by a child or an amateur. Brigs is all that and more. He is eligible for half welsh registration and registration with the ASPR. Bocksbuehl Brondo has been sold and gelded. He is currently competing with a junior, Sam Orems, at the Intermediate level of the CDE’s and he is winning. There will only be so many Brondo babies since he was gelded, here is a chance to own one. A Brondo filly placed 2nd at prestigious Upperville Show in 2007 in the yearling hunter pony class. Brigs is offered for sale at $3500.

Branstock’s Bramble

Bramble is a lovely, correct, stout, seal brown 12.2 hand born in 2005. She is by Bocksbuehl Brondo, black 14.2hands out of a little mare named BF Lady Slippers, seal brown 11.3 hand leopard mare. Bramble is currently being broken to ride. She is being lunged in tack, long lined and she has been sat on a few times. She is very excepting of it all, is easy to train and should make a fabulous show pony or driving pony. Bramble has very good bone, and good straight legs. She may carry the crème gene, I am hoping to have her genetically tested later this year. She is currently for sale but if I keep her into the spring I will breed her to my stallion Ryujin of a 2009 foal. We are asking $4500 for her that will include 30 days of riding or a breeding to Ryujin.

NewHorizonsSunsetWind

Sold

8 y.o. ApHC mare. She is 14.3h as well, a little wider in the body but finer in the bone then the other mare. Sweet as the day is long, kind, really good trot, good canter. Anyone can ride this mare. Windy is the kind of horse that you can pull out of the field and go for a trail ride even though she hasn't been ridden in 3 months (we did this today!) and she was quiet as a lamb. She was shown Intro and got in the 60%'s She knows how to bend, go in a frame and is started leg yielding. It wouldn't take me but 30 days to get her ready to show Training Level. Her canter could be steadier, but that will come with balance. She puts a stunning foal on the ground. Debbie took her hilltopping, the mare was quiet and I was looking forward to riding her this fall in the hilltopping group.
